At the mbora Foundation, we are dedicated to fostering sustainable rural prosperity through inclusive development initiatives in Malawi and the region. Our foundation is rooted in the belief that empowering village communities is key to unlocking their full potential. Through strategic partnerships and innovative solutions, we strive to create lasting impact in areas of financial inclusion, agriculture, healthcare, and digital empowerment.

Mission: Our mission is to empower rural communities by providing them with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive on their own. We aim to break down traditional barriers to development and create pathways for sustainable growth, ultimately improving the lives of individuals and families across Malawi and the region.

Vision: We envision a time where every villager, regardless of their education or circumstances, has access to the resources and support they need to build a better future for themselves and their communities. Through our efforts, and with our partners, we seek to create more equitable and prosperous villages, where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

Objective 1 - Financial Inclusion: We work to expand access to financial services and resources for rural communities, enabling them to save, invest, and grow their incomes. By promoting financial literacy and providing microfinance opportunities, we aim to empower individuals to take control of their financial futures.

Objective 2 - Agriculture Inclusion: Agriculture is the backbone of many rural communities, and we are committed to strengthening this sector through education, training, and access to modern climate smart and environmentally friendly farming techniques. By promoting sustainable agriculture practices and supporting smallholder farmers through our outgrower schemes, we strive to enhance food security and economic stability.

Objective 3 - Medical Inclusion: Access to quality healthcare is essential for thriving communities. Our mbora Hubs host outreach clinics that support initiatives to improve healthcare access and medical infrastructure in rural areas. Focusing on family planning, preventive care, maternal and child health, and disease prevention. By partnering with local healthcare providers and organisations, we aim to improve health outcomes and well-being for all villagers.
